                          MAKING MONEY BLOG

Welcome to the adventurous world of blogging!

In this Special Report, these steps are broken down in the exact order you do them. Screenshots are provided with every step, as well as instructions of exactly what you'll need to do. Follow along, and in just a few short minutes, you will be the proud owner of a brand new blog!

Ready?

Let is go !

Go to http://www.blogger.com

(This is Blogger.com's /main screen/ all the screenshots in this Special Report are cropped to save space and reduce file size.)

Take the Blogger Tour

If you wish, take the Blogger Quick Tour (I recommend you do this if you have the time). Then look at this right section of that graphic, and notice the 1, 2, 3 steps and the orange arrow that shows / Create Your Blog Now /

Click the arrow, and here is what you see next ... / Create an Account./

Fill in all the five blanks with whatever you choose to create your own Blogger account  (you must accept Bloggers Terms & Conditions by selecting the box that asks if you accept the Terms of Service - you have to accept them to continue) and then click the orange Continue arrow. Be sure to write down your login info where you can find it.

Name Your Blog

Here is what you will see next. Now it is time to give your blog its title and URL names. Type in the boxes whatever you want to use. Hint: it makes great sense if they are the same name (see the example in the box below.)

If you choose a name that is already been taken, Blogger will pop up a message saying so. You can ignore the /Advanced Setup/ stuff in this window.

(You guessed right  ...click the orange Continue arrow again.)

Choose Your Template

Now the real fun begins  choose your blog design and appearance from all the templates. To stay in the 3-minute deadline, you will need to decide fast!

We will choose /Minima/ by Douglas Bowman from the first row left (see the radio button filled in.) You guessed right again / click that orange arrow again /

You are now officially a blogger!

Ta-Da!

You are now 100% ready to share your wisdom, experience, or just plain or funny stories with the world. Yes  click that orange arrow again (this time it displays /Start Posting./) Is this exciting or what?

Your First Post

Check this out! You are almost famous!

There are 2 windows in the screen below. The top one is your Title box for your blog entry you are now posting (the title people will see)  and the other big window for your actual message. Type in whatever you desire to say.

Below is the blank screen before you begin to create your masterpiece(s)

Notice all the little icons and boxes (Font, b, i, etc.) too, which you will recognize and know how to use if you are comfortable with current word processor programs. These buttons have /mouse-overs/  so if you rest your mouse on the icon, a little message tells you what the icon is or does.

What you are now doing is /Posting/ (see highlighted /Posting / Create/ tab.) You can play with the /Settings/, /Template/, and other tabs. See what they do. The /View Blog/ is self-explanatory.

One thing to notice, though  is the /Create/, /Edit Posts/, and /Status/ links.

/Create/ is to write your blog entry. /Edit Posts/ is a way you can bring back a post you already published, and make some changes. /Status/ shows the status of your blog at this moment.

Write Your Masterpiece

Now  write your masterpiece(s.) Below is a very abbreviated setup message I stuck in just to show you, so we can keep our Special Report going till you post to your new blog for the first time.

Notice the word /live/ is italicized. Also notice that part of a sentence is now in color, and another is bold. Simple! Play around with your blog to your heart is content! There are no apparent (reasonable) limitations to the size, frequency, or number of entries you can have.

Notice Your Blogger Options

Now, notice the options at the bottom of this screen before you hit the /Publish Post/ button. You can let people comment on your blog  or not. You can adjust the date and time to your time zone, too. You can save your post as a draft to be published /live/ later, or just hit the orange /Publish Post/ button and you are on your way .

You are Now a Certified Blogger!!!

It is official! You are a certified blogger!!!

If you click the /View Blog (in a new window)/ link / up pops your blog and first post! After this, each time you post, simply go back to /Create/ write your new message, and hit the /Publish/ button again. Simple! (And be sure not to lose your Blogger login information.)

Author's Note: The purpose of this Special Report is to show you how to get your own blog up and running in approximately 3 minutes or less (if you skip the tour, choose a blog name no one has yet taken, your computer and Internet connections are reasonably fast, and you can make a decision on the template you want to use.)
